Who is Street Elite for?

Who is Street Elite Academy for?

We target 14 – 17 year olds at risk of anti-social behaviour, gang association and crime. They are still partially engaged in the education system and not yet deeply involved in the criminal justice process.

Who is Street Elite Intervention for?

Many commentators quote a figure of one million young people who are ‘NEET’ – not in education, employment or training. In reality, you can divide this group broadly into three categories: the majority are short-term unemployed while a small minority are deeply involved in crime and gangs, requiring highly targeted, individual interventions.

In-between is a significant number of disengaged, excluded young people: often they are not in the benefits system; there is no public agency specifically responsible for them; and they are at high risk of long-term unemployment with its likely impact on their health, income and life chances. These are the young people Street Elite Intervention helps.
